Hello Community,

I've been using Quick~Books Payroll for my small business for a while now, but recently, I’ve been hit with "Error 30159" whenever I try to run payroll. It’s really affecting my operations, and I can't seem to find a clear solution online. Can someone please guide me through the troubleshooting steps to fix this error? Are there any specific updates or settings I need to check?

Thanks for your assistance!

Hi @Janny12 I actually found this in another community forum that happens to offer QB support. Have you tried it?

If you accidentally deleted one of your EINs while trying to open the company file, this happens because QuickBooks fails to verify your payroll subscription.

Not only this, but some users have also complained about experiencing an error message saying, “We’re having a problem verifying your account status. Contact Us for help resolving the issue,” along with the error code. So, to fix this issue, ensure the payroll subscription status is active.

  • Launch QuickBooks Desktop and select My Payroll Services from the Employees menu. Then, select Account and Billing Info.
  • To log in, enter your admin credentials and choose a method to verify your identity from the Confirm your account information window.
  • Now, you will get a confirmation code via your mobile number or email ID. Enter the same PIN and click Continue.
  • Your payroll subscription is active if you are signed in after confirming the PIN. However, if not, follow the instructions displayed on your screen to activate the payroll services.
