Multiple appointments non opportunity automation

Hello,

We have an issue with tracking our recurring service appointments opportunity conversion rates. We are hoping to be able to conditionally have the non-opportunity box checked when necessary, here's the scenario;

Customer has 5 recurring service events for different inspections. We try to book these separately, on different days. A tech shows up, runs the inspection, it counts as an opportunity and we can accurately tell his conversion rate.

Issue arises if the customer requests multiple recurring service events be completed on the dame day, up to 4 on the same day. This will count 4 opportunities. But we only want to build estimates and sell them in 1 of those, making a 1 for 4 conversion rate instead of 1 for 1. We would like to count multiple inspections on the same day, as a single opportunity

I understand we can change the opportunity status of the other appointments manually, but this has to be done by hand and gets missed. Secondly, I understand we can change Job types default Opportunity status, but this would make none show up instead.

I am hoping for an automated workflow that does not have to be remembered to be done, as humans make mistakes. Ideally, if a customer has 1-4 recurring service jobs scheduled in the same day, all but one of those would be marked no-charge/non-opportunity automatically.

Thanks for taking the time to help

Hi @CodyWans

When a technician sells an estimate that is booked into a new job, that original job is automatically marked as a no charge/non-opportunity which will prevent that job from looking like a missed opportunity on the technician’s part. The status auto changes depending on choosing to perform work now or perform work later. It auto assumes it's perform work later if the technician sends an online estimate and the customer signs it there. It auto makes the job “no charge” if the estimate is sold but the work is on another job.
