I’m having trouble generating annual payroll reports in QuickBooks. Whenever I try to create them, I encounter errors or the reports don’t seem to compile correctly. This is crucial for our year-end processing, so I’m eager to get this resolved.

Here’s what I’ve attempted so far:

  • Verifying that all payroll data is up-to-date

If you’re unable to create annual payroll reports in QuickBooks, try the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Update QuickBooks:

    • Ensure you’re using the latest version of QuickBooks. Go to Help > Update QuickBooks and install any available updates.
  2. Check Payroll Subscription:

    • Verify that your payroll subscription is active and up-to-date. Go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Account/Billing Information to review your subscription status.
  3. Review Payroll Data:

    • Confirm that all payroll data for the year is accurate and complete. Go to Employees > Payroll Center > Pay Liabilities and ensure all liabilities are recorded and up-to-date.
