We honor and celebrate those in your company who take the time to listen, empathize, and nurture relationships with your customers. That’s why we are excited to celebrate National Customer Service Week with you - next week - October 3-7th.

The theme for this year’s Customer Service week is “Bee-cause You’re Essential.” With this theme in mind, our own Customer Experience team, here at ServiceTitan, would like to share 21 ideas that can make next week extra special for your team. Simply select a few ideas that you can take action on, and celebrate your customer service teams.

“Bee” sure to visit the Community every day next week because we will be posting additional resources, thoughts and ideas to help you celebrate your customer service team. We also encourage you to share any additional ideas here. Don’t pass up this opportunity to participate and celebrate those on your team who deliver an amazing customer experience.

21 Ways to Celebrate Customer Service Week

  1. Decorate your call center with black and yellow streamers and balloons. Print out a copy of the “Bee-cause You’re Essential” poster to display in the call center. You could also make other signs: “Welcome to our Hive - The Best Place to BEE!” or “Work to BEE Proud Of” or “Bee-lieve You Can Do Hard Things” or “Sweet as can BEE!”
  2. Create a buzzworthy social media post to celebrate your team.
  3. Create a Customer Service certificate/award to each individual on your Customer Service team highlighting their individual strengths, such as:
    “Thank you for Bee-ing Helpful”
    “Thank you for Bee-ing Dependable”
    “Thank you for Bee-ing Positive”
    “Thank you for Bee-ing Patient”
You can create your own certificates using this link (or another of your choice): https://certificatemaker.creativecertificates.com/premium-certificate-maker/
  4. Sometime during the week, celebrate with breakfast! Recognize your team members with the awards at the breakfast to honor them. Have a manager or someone from the leadership team give a toast or speech to honor them.
  5. Invite your field team to send a note or text of THANKS to each of the customer service team members. Invite them to celebrate and participate during the week via the content portal on ServiceTitan.
  6. Recognize and honor the team with a SWEET gift such as gift cards, spa day, flowers, chocolates, etc.
  7. Create a Sign to hang on the call center wall:
    Hive Rules:
    Bee Humble
    Bee Honest
    Bee Kind
    Bee Respectful
    Bee Positive
    Bee Grateful
    Bee Happy
    Bee YOU!
  8. Share a festive meal or snacks. Consider a catered lunch, breakfast bar, ice-cream sundae break, or cupcake and coffee get-together. It would be fun to stick to the “Bee-cause You’re Essential” theme by serving Bee/Honey themed treats for your team. Some fun ideas include: Honeycomb cereal, black and yellow jelly beans, caramel covered popcorn, Honey nut Cheerios, Pineapple and purple grape kabobs, olive and cheese kabobs, honey lollipops, bee themed decorated cookies or cupcakes, honey stinger cheesecake… Just be creative and have fun!
  9. Write individual thank you notes to each member of your customer service team.
  10. Lunch for the Busy Bees! Have a special lunch with the owners, GM, or management team.
  11. Highlight any customer reviews that have been shared about your customer service team members. Print them and display them on the wall, or share them on social media. “Have you heard the buzz? These CSRs are amazing!”
  12. Play "Busy Bee Bingo" with the customer service team. Create a bingo card with certain goals, or challenges and give away prizes for those who get a bingo. Sample bingo spots could include: Book 5 calls, Show empathy on a phone call, Sell a membership, Make a happy call, Build value on a call, Collect a payment, Make 3 outbound calls, Make a connection with a customer, Classify all your calls, Compliment a customer, Take extra time to listen to a customer, Speak with a smile, etc. You can make your own bingo cards using this link: https://bingobaker.com/
  13. Make a special delivery. If your team can’t gather for a break, have team-leaders, supervisors, and managers personally deliver a snack, token of appreciation, and words of thanks to each person on the customer service team.
  14. Include your remote staff by sending Work From Home Gift Boxes, and Stress Relief Gift Boxes, which could include themed gifts, stress relievers, sweet treats, and more.
  15. Prepare a team building activity such as this Chair Decorating Contest to help build camaraderie, share their creativity, and bring more fun and unity to the team.
  16. Host theme days with coordinated activities, food, and costumes. Some of the most popular themes are Stress Relief Day, Company Colors Day, Pajama Day, Tropical Day, USA day, Bougie Day, 60s/70s/80s Day, and Sports Team Day.
  17. Document the celebration. Use simple photo backdrops or photo booths with selfie frames. Everyone loves to snap a reminder of the celebration. Share your photos internally with your team, and on your company’s social media channels. Don’t forget to post them here in the ServiceTitan Community as well.
  18. Hoppin’ in the Hive! Take some time out to turn on the music and dance it out! I mean, who doesn’t like a dance party?
  19. Celebrate the Queen/King Bee! Don’t forget to honor the leaders/managers of the Customer Service team!
  20. Have a raffle with fun prizes at the end of the week. The customer service team earns tickets to the drawing when they are caught “Bee-ing” kind, empathetic, helpful, positive, etc.
  21. Last but not least, invite your Customer Service team to join our Community group just for CSRs, Dispatchers and their Managers. We will be giving away prizes, and having lots of fun during the week!
