ServiceTitan TradesBridge 

At ServiceTitan, we know that one of the biggest challenges our customers face today is the skilled labor shortage. As a large percentage of the hardworking men and women in the trades begin to retire and businesses struggle to hire new talent, we expect to see a gap of more than 3 million trades jobs within the next 10 years.

At the same time, more than 250,000 United States veterans transition out of the military each year, and only 1 in 4 have a job lined up when they do. We see an opportunity to serve both our customers and our veterans by testing a program through which we match transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses with businesses on ServiceTitan who are seeking individuals to fill entry-level technician roles.

If you are:

  • A trades business that uses ServiceTitan and is struggling to hire entry-level technician talent;
  • Experiencing slowed business growth, decreasing revenue, are having to turn down jobs due to resource constraints, and more;
  • Looking for a new channel to recruit hardworking, reliable and disciplined military talent to fill open entry-level technician positions at your business; and
  • Willing and able to hire technicians with little to no training/experience…

… then this pilot program is for you!

How does it work?

Over the course of this pilot, ServiceTitan will be testing a process in which we connect with military bases to raise awareness for trades careers among service members. Transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses who are interested in becoming a technician will be vetted to ensure interest and fit, and will then be connected with one or more participating trades businesses in the US city that they would like to begin their career in. Participating businesses who are connected with a candidate will then follow their standard processes to vet, interview, and (if it’s the right fit) hire the veteran/spouse!

Can all ServiceTitan customers participate?

At this time, this pilot is limited to trades businesses who:

  • Are able to hire candidates with little or no training/experience for entry-level technician roles, knowing that they will need post-hire training;
  • Have access to or processes in place to train entry-level technicians post-hire, with no cost to the veteran or spouse that is hired;
  • Are enthusiastic about providing a veteran new hire with the mentorship and support they may need to succeed in their new career;
  • Are enthusiastic about helping ServiceTitan test out this program, sharing feedback and helping us improve the program along the way; and
  • Must meet the requirements outlined in the Program Guidelines.

We know that training can be a complex part of the hiring process for technician roles. For this pilot, we are focusing on helping trades businesses and veterans fill entry-level positions that require no training and experience in order to secure employment. In the future, we hope to expand this program so that we can offer training to veterans beforehand, and help fill more experienced technician positions.
