Happy Monday!  What does your company do to make work more fun or enjoyable or to retain employees long term?  We offer benefits (that do not come off of our pay)! 👩‍⚕️ Our fridge/freezer is always well stocked with water, Gatorade, ice-cream/popsicles and snacks (granola bars, trail mix, yogurt, candy). 🍦🍬 We have two Keurigs and always stock coffee, tea and hot chocolate. ☕ At our monthly team training our management supplies snacks. Our current favourite has been Nanaimo bars from a local baker and we look forward to these every month! 🍩 A few times a year we go out to a restaurant together as a team for dinner. Partners and children are invited for these dinners as well. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For technician appreciation day we all go to brunch as a team. 🍳 We have a Google group chat and will send each other funny GIFs, jokes and reels. 🤣 We do our best to make it a fun work environment! 😜 What types of things do you do to ensure your workspace is fun - both in the office and in the field? Good morning Canadian users! 👋 📣 The announcement Canadian HVAC companies have been waiting for was released this week! This announcement confirmed that the Greener Home Grant continues to be paused. 📣 An article from Global news states: The government plans on establishing an $800-million program to provide direct funding for low-to-middle income households on the installation of energy-efficient retrofits on their heating systems. This fund is set to rollout over five years, starting in 2025-26. We had many clients who missed the window this year and were waiting to schedule their heat pump installs until this announcement was made. We were all hoping the Greener Home Grant would reopen this spring or summer. Now that it will not be starting up again until 2025/2026 we are disappointed. I feel like we could all use some!  My recent positives:  - Our coworker had a new healthy baby boy last week! We are all very excited to see our techs families grow! 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 - My flight and my hotel is booked for my first trip to Pantheon! My best friend is going to go with me as my plus one and we will stay a few extra days after the conference to enjoy some sunshine. I am looking forward to this! ✈️ - My friend had a new baby boy and I will get to meet him this weekend! 👶 - This weekend my friend is coming down to visit from Toronto. I'm very excited to see them! I even booked Monday off work so I will have a 3 day weekend to spend with them. Can't wait! 🙌 - On Thursday I had a regular client call in and we were talking about the Easter long weekend. I mentioned I had 3 days off but at my old job I had 4 days off so I am still getting used to this but it's okay, I was happy to have the Friday off work. He said he didn't think I minded because I seem pretty happy at my current job. I thought it was so sweet that he mentioned this, he could tell I was happy. I had an interesting question/topic raised -  With the solar eclipse happening on Monday, will your business be closing early?  Will the eclipse be fully visible where you are located?
