Give us the option to change the color on the scheduling page to whichever tech we choose…after the system auto assigns a color base on current rules…color coding the scheduling helps us stay organized
Currently if color option is on and two techs are assigned at the same time the system chooses a color by alphabetical order…based on their username (probably not the best option as once it assigns it it won’t allow you to change it to the “lead tech”…rank, tenure, or date added would probably make more sense as usernames don’t follow any type of order)
A work around with current rules is that color is defaulted to the first tech assigned…while most of the times this is correct, it prevent us from being able to assign multiple techs at the same time to a job and if there’s a change then it messes with the colors as the system seems to develop some sort of “memory” and even if we remove all techs and start by adding the “lead tech” first as soon as we add his partner (who got priority beforehand), the system changes the scheduled blocks color to the prior rules…eliminating the option to edit after the “first” choices were made.
