If you do, you can set up a "time off" shift and it will show up gray on the dispatch board and have the name you give the shift on the board too. Screenshot 2024-11-13 122814.png

As a question, we switched to non job events instead of the technician shifts because when our other department managers are reviewing past days on the dispatch board, they had noticed that the board does not show employees who had not clocked in for that day, unless there was a non job event assigned to them. If you are using technician shifts to meet your needs, did you have some way around that? Right now I only use the shifts to make sure it is clear what hours are our business hours, since all of our field employees work the same hours during the day, but I do not use it for the days when someone would not be here.

For all holidays, I add a non job event with the timesheet code holiday so that there are no jobs added, and also so that the timesheet code makes it into ADP when we export data over.

If there is a technician on call that day, I remove the event from only them, and add them to the schedule as on call that way they show up in orange and our office knows who calls can be added to.

Thank you for this!
