We have our operations zoned as to reflect zip codes by North, South, East, West, then the further out each is NW, NE, SW, SE, and in the heart of the city is Central. One of our team members wanted to name them Sigma, Omega, Gamma, Epsilon, Kappa, Delta, Beta but that was very hard for me to keep up with because I am more of an app reader. So to make it easy we labeled it Central (Epsilon), East (Sigma), and so forth. Once the operation zones were created and each had it respective zip and city - under each technician zones assigned were specific. If the tech lives outside the zone you need to assign, the zones may not select the tech because it knows his home address. A work around is to put either his address as the shop address or a grey box Shop so the first call zone knows to select the tech close to the shop. If he is leaving from his home, the zone closest to him will then be selected. Note: this is if you are using Dispatch Pro, if not, you can manually select. BTW: We had a huge map created for us - color coded listing all the zips and the zones and we tagged where techs live. This helps the dispatchers who are visual readers. Service Titan can also read their home and the location. Azuga, Verizon Reveal can also read their home and the location. So many ways to manage.
