Credit card swipe for Tech

We are relatively new to ST. We use ipads with our Tech.  We were told we can get a lower credit card rate if we get clients to "swipe".  Our challenge is ST finance only offers a separate bluetooth device to do this. It doesn't work great for our team and is prone to getting lost.  We know processors like Square have devices that plug directly into the ipad.  We would switch but are concerned with ST integration on payments.

Does anyone have a solution they have found that works?

@Tedalways22 we have always had forms technicians sign when checking out equipment, including the Bluetooth credit card readers. They are responsible for replacing the item at cost it is ever lost or not returned. We never had a problem with techs loosing their reader, tablet or phone. It'll actually save them time in the field so they will probably welcome the addition. It can easily be stored in their vehicle. They last a while so they don't have to worry about charging them daily, more like weekly or even biweekly.

I know at one point ST had plug in readers. Not sure of they’re still offered now that the Bluetooth readers are available. Here is a Knowledge base article that shows more: https://help.servicetitan.com/how-to/connect-swiper

I’d also note that the headphone jack readers (we tried several at our shop over the years) can be kept/lost as easily as the Bluetooth readers. We supplied iPad carriers with pockets for the charger and the swiper to our iPad users.
