I'm encountering QuickBooks Payroll Update Error 12031 while trying to update my payroll. The error message says the update has failed due to a network timeout. I've checked my internet connection, and it seems fine. What could be causing this issue, and how can I fix it?

To resolve QuickBooks Payroll Update Error 12031, ensure that your internet connection is stable. Then, update Internet Explorer to the latest version and set it as your default browser.
