Why does Service Titan limit usernames to a single occurrence across all customers?

I cannot add a technician using our standard procedure because another company already has a technician with his name and all acceptable variations of his username have been taken. I now have to make up another format for when our traditional format does not work. Service Titan needs to add a company code to the login field so more than one company can have a technician with the same name.

little late to the game - im also having issue naming my technicians as the 'username has been taken'.  is the company code coming?  having my guys named JohnnyT, GeneP, TommyL and then having to have a JohnSmithSrthe2nd is awkward.
