Hello,
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to show the net cost on a estimate after rebates?
Example: Job is $15,000 and the customer qualifies for a $1000 rebate to be paid directly to the customer from the utility provider (it does not affect our up front price).
I need to show a $15,000 purchase, $1,000 Rebate, and Total investment cost to the customer of $14,000.
Currently, if I show the -$1000 rebate on my ticket, it reduces my price to $14,000 and nets the customer $13,000 after they apply for the rebate.
Any suggestions?

I've ran into the same problem. The best work around I can suggest is to simple enter the total cost of the job and discount amount into the summary of the estimate and show total investment. Then as a task enter the amount due. I know it's not perfect and involves a bit more work but it was the best option I could come up with. Hope this helps

Ya, That is how we have done it for the last few years as well. You would think there would be a better way to present to the customer. It is definitely a little clunky.
