Does anyone know a way to track manual cost changes on material. It would be great to know when and who updated the cost on materials we have in our price book. I don't see a way to do that. As we are working on estimates and invoices the boss wants to know when the price we are working on is from.
It is my understanding that the only way to update costs is through the pricebook, either manually or through import export. It does not update through PO's or Invoice cost updates. Can anyone confirm that this is correct.
There is a history tab ob the PB page, but it will only show changes made from inports or via the price wizard. There is currently no place to see an audit trail of direct adjustments.
If you disable the option to auto-create bills, then you have the option to adjust your PB material prices based on the actual number the vendor charged you when you're creating the bill for that PO
