Dynamic Pricing over Client Specific Pricing - BROKEN

Client Specific Pricing is used to determine the markup on Materials for Material line items on invoices. This is perfect for T&M Sales. However, if that T&M Customer wants a quote, Client Specific Pricing corrupts the invoice!!

The problem is on several fronts:

  1. Pre-Built Services
If using the Pre-Built Services Client Specific Pricing separates the material out of the Service and shows them as separate line items on the invoice and charges for them again!

  2. Adding Sub-Items and Sub Material Items to a service
Similar to Pre-Built Services, these are also separated from the Parent Service, listed as a separate item on the invoice, and then charged again!
  3. Quantities Calculate Wrong
When building sub-items and sub-material items in a service and you want to sell more than one. If you change that parent service quantity to more than one IT WILL NOT calculate the quantity of any of the sub material items or sub-items added to the parent service to that change in quantity on the Parent Service.
In Other Words: THE SERVICE IS UNDER SOLD!!!

SOLUTION:

We believe the issue stems from Client Specific Pricing preferred over Dynamic Pricing when it should be the opposite. Client Specific Pricing is good, but when that customer wants a quote, a singular price for all the work being proposed or multiple jobs being proposed, we should be able to build estimates, use pre-built services, build custom services using sub-items and sub-material items without having then displayed as separate items on the invoice. When thinking about the work flow it seems obvious. Why would a tech go through the trouble to build a price with sub-items if the systems is basically going to undo all this? Being able to quote pricing for whole jobs is a must.
