Automatically Charge Past-Due/Finance/Late Fees to Past Due Invoices

I know different states have different rules regarding finance charges and late fees.  However, it would be great if there was a setting that could be turned on that would automatically charge fees to invoices past their payment terms on a scheduled basis.  So people who get billed out on the 15th of a month with Net 30 terms would be auto-assessed the % or $ fee on the 15th of the following month rather than wait for the manual process to be done on the 30th of the following month.

It's almost 2025 and there's no easy solution for this? It would be GREAT to have this option to automatically add interest for past due invoices!!

Yes we would like to have an option to do across the board or mass finance selecting specified customers.

charging finance charges by going through each invoice is just not efficient or timely.
