It would be great to still have the sold by as the technician name but another section geared towards inside sales where if the inside sales person assisted with selling the estimate, we can select the inside sales person AND the technician. This would assist with reporting to see how productive the inside sales person is as well has set up a commission structure for this inside sales person.

We only have one ISR, and when introducting this role, we did not want to take away from technician buy in and the technician stats (most of our technicians are more heavy on the hourly wage than commission). We created an ISRInstal, ISRSave, ISRService, ISRreconnect tags that just require a simple report to be run and commission allocated based on the report tag type.
The sold by always stays with the technician

Have you looked into using Tech Generated Leads? That way the invoice can show the tech who created the lead and the inside sales rep who sold the job. You can also attach commissions to both of them within that structure.
