Troubleshooting Solutions:

  1. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection, as disruptions can prevent QuickBooks from sending payroll data.

  2. Verify Payroll Service Key: Go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Manage Service Key and ensure that the payroll service key is accurate and active. Re-enter it if needed.

  3. Update QuickBooks and Payroll Tax Table: Make sure QuickBooks and the payroll tax table are up to date. Go to Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop and follow the prompts to install any available updates.

  4. Send Payroll Data in Safe Mode: Restart QuickBooks in Safe Mode and try sending the payroll data again. This can help bypass any conflicting software or settings.

  5. Clear Stuck Payrolls: Sometimes, payroll data can get stuck in the "Sending" status. To clear this, go to Send Payroll Data and check for any pending batches. Retry sending or delete the batch if it remains stuck.

  6. Check Firewall and Security Settings: Ensure that your firewall and antivirus settings are not blocking QuickBooks. Add QuickBooks as an exception or temporarily disable security software to test if it resolves the issue.
