We have weekly Production meetings to identify if a Sales person bid a job well (or poorly) in terms of Labor hours OR if our Install Techs were just slow in installing the system(s).  So we currently use an Excel spreadsheet to track EVERY job (Install related...see attached) to see (1) what did the Sales guy sell the job for (i.e 7 hours, 4 hours, etc.) (2) did the job run over the allocated time in which we sold it.  Can ST put something within their ESTIMATES in terms of hours sold that will transpose (mirror) itself onto the Job once sold/converted?  This spreadsheet allows us to see if the Salesmen need to allow more time when quoting certain jobs, see if certain teams of Installers take too long, see the callbacks at a glance (without running a report), we can document hang-ups on the job and delays, etc.  Need to have better labor tracking to proactively adjust sales and resources.

If you allocate hours to your tasks, you should be able to see if the crew went over/under the time on the invoice.

I love the look of your spreadsheet and may have to use this idea! It would be nice it service titan could do something like this more like a spread sheet. Its easier to look at all jobs this way instead of individually.

Not really.  The issue is that we have ALL our Installs grouped into 18 Job Types and although the INSTALL BOILER fits the purpose of categorizing the type of work being performed...there is a big difference between Installing a hydronic vs a steam boiler.  Although INSTALL FURNACE ONLY allows for the separation of full systems from just a furnace install...there is a difference between a high efficiency install and an 80% install.  Install Mitsubishi is another example where unless we create an Install service for every possibility...2-head Mitsu, 3-head Mitsu, 4-head Mitsu, 5-head Mistu, etc. we cannot apply hours to our Tasks which are going to work for all our Jobs.  Thanks for the thought, but we are not set up in a way that will allow your solution to work properly.

Yes and No.  Unless you have a TASK set up for every known variable, this does not work.  For instance, if I need to carry a unit up 3 flights of stairs...or I have a crane lifting the unit to a rooftop...or I have to add 50 feet of lineset...etc.  There are too many additional time add-ons that would make this very cumbersome to apply...and if I'm doing just a condenser and coil...the system might have 5 hours associated with it, but if there are 2 Install Techs, then it is 10 man-hours.  The system does not look at the appointment and take the associated technicians into account to apply total man-hours to the job to see if it actually ran over.
