Two way chat for technicians

Our technicians could really benefit from being able to text the customers even after they've arrived at the location. Due to the nature of our work, we complete many jobs when the homeowner is not there and texting is sometimes the only way they're able to communicate. Is this going to be implemented at any point?

ServiceTitan programmers,

Please work on improving the Chat feature.  It's better but still needs more attention.  My technicians struggle to find the current job chat while on a call.  They must scroll through the entire chat history to the current day.  They should only see the chat for the current call they're on.

At our HVAC company the only work-around to this is technicians texting from their cell. This usually means customers calling them on their cell for unrelated service instead of calling the main number. Technicians having the ability to initiate text when on location would be a game changer for us. Any update on when this will be available?

I am in the same boat with being in the pest control industry. If there was a way that techs could initiate a text to customers from out in the field it would be great. Gate codes, combinations to locks, aggressive dogs and other situations occur that need to be addressed to the customer while onsite.

Have you received your ST-60 update already?

Hi Brandi, we have received the update, but we just need one more step. Once we arrive to the job, the technicians lose the ability to text the customers. We work on automatic gates, so all of our work is done outside and most times, without the customer being home. We need to let the technicians be able to text the customer throughout and even after the appointment. Thanks!
