In the coming weeks, Dialpad, the partner for Phones Pro, will be rolling out additional security and performance improvements. In most cases, this change will be completely transparent to most users. In some uncommon configurations on networks with strong restrictions, your firewalls or DNS servers may be configured to allow only the current IP to pass through.
Timeline: The IP rollout changes will consist of four phases, on a per-region basis. They are planning to roll out the first phase on December 1st, 2023, and subsequent phases will continue until December 19th.
For customers located in the US & Canada, this change is scheduled to occur from December 15th through the 19th.
The IP address for “dialpad.com” will be changed as follows:
Old IP: 72.14.247.98
New IP: 170.10.222.20
Preparation / Possible Action Required: In preparation for the upcoming changes, we recommend that customers who are aware of restrictive networks in use by their employees should engage with your IT departments to confirm that this change will be non-disruptive. Most businesses whitelist via FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) instead of IP, which is not impacted by this change.
