I’m running into QuickBooks Error 3371 with status code 11118, which is stopping me from opening QuickBooks. It appears to be connected to licensing or data file problems. I’ve already tried restarting my computer and reinstalling QuickBooks, but the issue continues. Has anyone else dealt with QuickBooks Error 3371 Status Code 11118? What solutions or steps worked for you? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @kudroandrew

QuickBooks Error 3371 with status code 11118 often occurs due to issues with the QuickBooks licensing properties or corrupted data files. Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve this error:

Step 1: Update Windows

  1. Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Update & Security > Windows Update.
  3. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
  4. Restart your computer after the updates are installed.

Step 2: Delete the EntitlementDataStore.ecml File

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Press Windows + R to open the Run command.
  3. Type C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 (or v6 depending on your version) and press Enter.
  4. Locate the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file and right-click to delete it.
  5. Close the window and restart QuickBooks.
  6. Re-register QuickBooks with your license information.

Step 3: Use QuickBooks Tool Hub

  1. Download the latest version of QuickBooks Tool Hub from the official Intuit website.
  2. Install and open QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Go to Installation Issues and select QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool.
  4. Run the tool and let it complete the diagnosis.
  5. Restart your computer once the tool has finished.

Step 4: Perform a Clean Install of QuickBooks

  1. Uninstall QuickBooks from the Control Panel.
  2. Use the Clean Install Tool in QuickBooks Tool Hub (under the Installation Issues tab) to remove any leftover files.
  3. Reinstall QuickBooks using the installation file or CD.
  4. Activate QuickBooks with your license information.

Step 5: Repair or Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework

  1. Press Windows + R to open the Run command.
  2. Type Control Panel and press Enter.
  3. Go to Programs > Turn Windows features on or off.
  4. Ensure that .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.5 (or later) are enabled.
  5. If necessary, repair or reinstall .NET Framework by downloading it from the Microsoft website.

Step 6: Disable Antivirus or Security Software Temporarily

  1. Disable your antivirus or any security software temporarily before opening QuickBooks.
  2. Try to open QuickBooks to see if the error persists.
  3. Re-enable the antivirus once you’ve checked for the error.

Additional Tips:

  • Ensure that your QuickBooks is updated to the latest version to prevent such errors.
  • Check for any additional system or QuickBooks updates that might be required.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact QuickBooks Support for further assistance, as there could be deeper issues within the software or your system.
