Is there a setting that allows you to turn off "first drive time" for the weekends only? This would allow "on-call techs" that drive their vehicles home to NOT get 30 min drive time deducted when they are on call for the weekend, and should be getting paid from the time they leave their house until the time they return home

Hi @terrie_c,
At this time, there is not a way to configure different drive time settings for the weekend. If the full length of the drive is to be paid, then a payroll adjustment would need to be created on the invoice in order to account for the missing paid time. This will also ensure that job costing remains accurate.

We have created a work-around... On a Saturday On-Call Rotation, as the Tech is ready to leave home... he enters a Non-Job Event (NJE) called "ON CALL - 1st JOB" for 2-3 minutes. This "starts payroll". Then the Tech "Dispatches / Arrives and Completes" as normal. By doing this, the 30 minute "commute" time is no longer being deducted from payroll. If there is any better idea on how to handle this, we are all ears. 😉

That is a great alternative solution 🙂 At this time, the workflow you created or giving payroll adjustments are the best solutions.
