Month end close out process

Hello there. I have been working with my management team on how to implement better processes through out the year to really keep everything as clean as possible in our system. As of right now we don't have a structured month- end close out process and I wanted to reach out to the community to see if any of you have a process that works for you; or if there is possibly a month- end close out check list that you would be willing to share. Any input is greatly appreciated.
