Add a little bio to your profile! I like to click in to know who I'm talking to!

@e_dunn  I have two questions:

Who are my "friends" or how do I "friend" people

On the show private information setting does that need to be clicked for bio info or would that give people other "private" info?

Thanks!

Hi @RandiThompson  - Great question! I'll be 100% honest here and say that the "Friends" functionality of the Community platform is not great and largely ignored by the vendor who powers the Community. And, unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to disable the β€œFriends” functionality. I have heard rumblings of them updating this functionality, but no dates have been shared.

Currently, the only piece of "private information" that would be visible to the public ("All") if you choose, is anything in the Biography field. We have plans on our roadmap to improve the experience, as it relates to knowing who your fellow users are, which is why we took this opportunity to encourage you to complete your profiles.

All that said, I would suggest that you treat your profile (and its details) like that of LinkedIn. Share what you’d like and hide the rest. As a reminder, here is some good information we have outlined in our Community Guidelines related to sharing personal/business information.
