How to require "assign tech" during call booking?

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the "assign technician" field required for booking a job? We're running in to lots of issues of missed appointments because a tech wasn't assigned. All of our jobs get assigned to a tech so the "unassigned jobs" tab is not regularly monitored.

There is no way of making it required, but there are a few ways to help minimize this issue. We have a custom dashboard where we show a module for unassigned techs.
The other option would be to create a custom field that asks "Did you assign a technician?" and that you can make required.

I can understand why some companies would not want to make assigning a technician mandatory (dispatch assigns all jobs), but we have the CSR assign technicians when booking so it is a hindrance not having the OPTION to make it mandatory. ST should be designed to work for all companies.
