Cancel Job with Payment Attached

We have a customer that paid a deposit for a job, then later decided to cancel. We have refunded the deposit paid in Service Titan. The job is appearing in reports we run as "On Hold" so we need to cancel the job. Service Titan Knowledge Base only says, "You can't cancel a job with a payment attached." But provides no solutions or work-arounds. Does anyone have any ideas?

@swilliams Welcome to the Community and congrats on your first post! 🎉

  • You can’t cancel jobs that have a dollar value above $0 on the invoice.
  • You can’t cancel any jobs with payments attached. 

To be able to cancel the job, make sure you have zeroed out the payment by creating a refund record on the invoice (in case your invoice is exported already). If it is in Pending status, you'll see a remove "x" option near it and will be able to get rid of the payment and successfully cancel the job.
