Read-only access to tasks

When a user is granted permission to "Access all tasks and subtasks", they automatically get the ability to create, delete or modify tasks (including those tasks created by other users/departments) for jobs. Without this permission, users are unable to see/view existing tasks.

We need the ability to grant users read-only access to tasks so they can view them but not modify.

I am told by support that this permission is an "all or nothing" setting.

Can this be submitted as an RFC for future releases?
