In our company, we have a flat rate time allowance for technicians performing routine maintenance calls; they get paid for the flat rate allowance regardless of how long it takes. For example, our techs get paid 1.5 hrs for a furnace maintenance. Most take about the 45 minutes of actual work and up to an hour including travel. The challenge in Service Titan for time keeping and payroll is that the clock in and out at the job does not provide the correct hours for payroll based on the flat rate and because of our model technicians can easily go into overtime which is incorrect. Is anyone else using a similar system for paying for maintenance work or does everyone just use the clock in and out for the jobs and day as payroll.

Ask your CSM to turn on Configurable payroll, this will allow you to create custom pay profiles, and set-up the sold hours workflow

Hi @vha9215 & @e_dunn , If you are using Config Payroll you can set-up a pay rule based off of Sold Hours:
Pay Rule: Item Bonus, set the Take to be Sold Hours->Invoice Sold Hours, Multiply by Flat Amount->set on Technician ->Tech Sold Hours Pay, Multiply by Technician Split Rate. Then Continue to pay on. If you are doing a hybrid of actual hours worked and sold hours then we can adjust the rules to be specific Invoice Items

Thank you! I cannot find where you mean to set up a pay rule? What setting is this? Or is this done in the pricebook as you mention the item bonus?

Hi @vha9215 - let's see if @Jeremy_Wick might be able to assist. @Jeremy_Wick have you come across anything like this in your work as a Certified Provider? Or would you know another Community member who could assist?
