Hi everyone! Recently our plumbing company acquired an HVAC division. The leadership team was not utilizing software and relied on paper for purchases/equipment/installs/you-name-it. We are working on streamlining their processes and have transitioned them into our ST tenant.
With that said - How are companies tracking their portable units? We are going to start by utilizing tags on each job to note they have portables, but interested in seeing if others are utilizing ST or other software to track? TIA!!

We are using a task named as Portable A/C unit and in the task description we are adding the serial number of the portable in that home. The task itself is a $0.00 task but it is also noted that if the portable comes back damaged or the installation is cancelled there will be a $250 fee for the use of the portable. The task automatically adds an "Equipment Loan" tag to the install it is associated with.
