Merging Jobs

Is there a way to merge two jobs? For example, a representative accepted a proposal and took a deposit from a customer. The plumbing supervisor also created a job (for the same proposal) and added multiple appointments. He then asked the representative to add all of the appts that he created to the proposal she accepted since money was already attached. Is there a more efficient/easier way to achieve that goal w/o having to write down all of the appts, add them to the correct job, then cancel the duplicate job?

You can make sure both jobs are in the same project and move the deposit around from one invoice to the other and then cancel or complete the job you dont want.  The history of both jobs will still live in the project so you have access to all the information without needed to spend time hand writing down all the info.  Sounds like in this case you just need to move the money off of the Invoice the representative took and move it to the job and multiple appointments your plumbing supervisor created.

Merging jobs would also be helpful for estimates that are sold separately on different projects but being done at the same time (appointment). I know you can detach from one project and attach to the other but you still have to book the two separate jobs. Then the techs have to pause or end one and click into the other to collect payment. Merging the jobs would just make it easier and cleaner.

That's very helpful. It definitely would have made sense to just move the money. Then just cancel or delete the proposal that had been sold/converted. I guess I'm just trying to cut down on clutter in the accounts so that there aren't cancelled jobs that were cancelled due to being duplicated but still lives on the customer record.
