I need to find a way to report on material (inventory & noninventory) costs listed on in progress jobs so we can accurately pay our use tax each month.

The problem we are having we don’t want to close jobs each month! We add POs to the job and when we receive them we add the materials to the job (directly from the PO) at no cost. If the PO was on an April job but not received till may or June that eliminates that process and adds time consuming work and lots of room for human error.
