In our dispatch we do have a wait list we all keep on paper and pen, so we decided to utilize Service Titan for these types of call. Most of the time we get to these calls, but sometimes we can't help them.
Here's the workflow I created that helps our dispatchers:
- Created a job type of "Wait List" and included all business units (We sort our technicians by business unit because we don't have a lot of specific departments)
- Created an arrival window that includes the entire day
- Created a Wait List tag
- Created cancelation reason: Wait List - Could not accommodate
Now we are able to see Wait List calls on our dispatch Screen. Additional benefits - we can search by tag type and see how many Wait List calls are taken each day.
