Additional Price Book Fields for Equipment

There are a few pieces of data that would be nice to have a dedicated field for on equipment:

  1. "Ton(s)" :  How many tons a cooling unit is rated for, for example
  2. "BTU":  BTU rating for heating equipment.  You already have "SEER" for cooling.
  3. "Stages":  Select "Single", "Two", etc.
  4. "Direction":  Upflow/downflow/horizontal/etc.
  5.  "AFUE":  Efficiency ratings

Not only would the extra fields help with consistency of equipment data and entry, but if we could pull fields into the mobile price book view, that would be very helpful when listing spec or features/benefits.  We have a bullet list on each piece now, but this is a manual process.  WIth the fields, I can imagine we would have the ability to do a mass update/upload via .xlsx file.  Quick and easy.

Hey! You should see capacity in on your equipment items - you'll need to set up the capacity type on the equipment type and then apply the equipment type on the piece of equipment, then you should be able to apply a capacity! Dimensions is also a new field, and we definitely have some ideas that should help out with some of the other suggestions soon.... 🙂

Capacity is a nice place holder, but having a dedicated field that pops up when selecting the equipment type would be less clicking and more "tabbing through the list" and entering stuff quickly -- especially if we import a catalog in.

Another great idea for the Ideas section! These are all good recommendations. I know we usually just put the tonage in the name of the equipment, but this could be a good way to quickly categorize equipment. Thanks for sharing. Thoughts on additional fields that would be helpful?
