Labeling Equipment Locations

We are trying to have our Equipment have a more uniformity for labeling locations.  how do you guys do it?

We are currently going with for multi level

• Basement
• Floor 1
• Floor 2
• etc

For Ranch Style Homes we are numbering from left to right from back of home 

For commercial we will be using the same as above.

Just wanting to see some input from other companies on how you guys are labeling equipment

Consistency is Key! If everyone does it the same way, every time - you're golden! I like adding notes about areas served if multi system homes or commercial location in Memo section.

Examples I've used: AC 1, FG(Furnace Gas) HP, Stat, AH 2 etc.
