Dispatch Pro: Multi-Person Jobs

Fellow Dispatch Pro users, I'm looking for input on how you're handling Dispatch Pro when you have a tech and helper riding together.  If you assign the call to both then DP turns off.  Are you just assigning the lead and leaving the 2nd person as idle?  Having Dispatch assign the 2nd person after the lead dispatches?  What about timesheets and payroll?  I'm looking for feedback on what work around is work for you.  Thanks!

Hi @josh_bab

After further review we have found that the best way to handle multi tech jobs when using dispatch pro is by waiting until the lead tech is dispatched to the job (as you've previously stated) and then adding in the helper tech. This will allow you to keep your Dispatch Pro utilization rates higher and is the most common method seen to handle this scenario.

Doing it this way will also ensure that timesheets are still tracked for the helper technician as well. We understand that this may not be the most optimal and are looking to improve DP functionality over time.

If you have any further questions regarding this please let me know.

Thank you!

Hi @josh_bab

Thank you for being an active member within the community. At this time Dispatch Pro only works with managed technicians and will not allow for assignment of multi tech jobs.

I have created a case for you that has been escalated to our Dispatch Pro team to see what workaround would be best for this scenario. Once a resolve has been issued, I will be sure to follow up with you. In the meantime, please feel free to refer to this guide for more information regarding dispatch pro.
